What is the difference between LCD and Plasma televisions? Which is better LCD or Plasma is really a matter of personal preference. Both the LCD and Plasma technology will give you a better picture quality than the old CRT TVs.  LCDs come in sizes ranging from 14 inch to 56 inches. Plasma TVs are only available in 37 inch or larger screens.  The LCDs use 50% less power than the Plasma televisions but the Plasma screens have better viewing from all angles and show black or darker pictures more clearly than the LCD technology. Both are lighter weight and slimmer than the CRTs and both can be wall mounted but the LCD is the lighter of the two and easier to wall mount.
