The LED lit LCDs are more expensive than a comparable sized Plasma or LCD television. So if budget is a consideration you may be better off with a Plasma television or a conventional LCD TV. However, running costs will be higher with the older technology and it may cost you more over time.
LED TVs are the most energy efficient.
